My name is Joe Holder and I'm a member of
IORNZ. I'm a Kiwi living here in Melbourne. I
thought I'd send you over some photo's of the recent National Historic race meet at Phillip
Island.
The 8 valve is a 1924 but with all new
casting etc. It's running BSA B33 oil pump gears housed in a aluminum billet
block for an oil pump. Lindsay estimated the motor was putting out 100hp. They
were putting in lap times of 2:03 (comparable ot a Manx Norton) with a top
speed of 140 MPH down the main straight! (Ed: Since
clocked at 158.73mph)
Regards Joe.
