Hello, my name is Patrick Desgens.  I live near Montreal, Quebec.
Here's my 39 sport scout restored. The basket case was bought from a friend a couple years back. Everything was mostly there, but the engine was a 30.50, the front fender was chopped...well, it needed a bit of work.  It's been quite an adventure finding parts & fitting everything nicely.   The restoration work was done in my new shop.  Even though  it's not a 100 points bike, I'm very proud of my sport scout. I often ride it on weekends around town, park on main street & chat with people walking by asking : "what year is it ? "...  This bike is actually a great way to meet friendly people & also a good business card !  Many people tell me stories of their younger years, when they rode Indians during the war, or their father owned one & later sold it for 50$ ! I really appreciate what this motorcycle has brought me ;  smiles, new friendships, everybody is nice to you when you ride an Indian !  I'd like to thank David Kilgore for giving me the chance to learn from him.  He is of great help to me.... Thanks Dave !
